*Yawn*

We bought the cricket package and have been watching the match as much as I can .(11:45p to 7:00 am)and that made me a lot more tired during the day. And that is my excuse for this week for not updating the blog.

I recorded the matches and since I do not have a DVD recorder/TV Card I cannot transfer the video to my computer. So I actually shot the video on my video camera and then did some editing. It was fun.

Also, received this and found this interesting enough to share.

New Law!

With the high rate of attacks on women in secluded parking lots,
especially during evening hours, the Minneapolis City Council has
established a "Women Only" parking lot at the Mall of America. Even the
parking lot attendants are exclusively female so that a comfortable and
safe environment is created for patrons.

Click for the first picture available of this world-first women-only
parking lot in Minnesota.

You know you could just spring some $$ ... say, 3 XBox games' worth and get yourself a DVD recorder? Getting a good graphics card, RAM & storage to handle all that video would set you back 500 bucks ...

I don't need a good graphics card or RAM for this and I already have the storage. Using a DVD recorder is half the issue, or I could buy a TV card or a transfer device to move the video from my DVR to PC.

The other part, and more interesting part is mixing audio with the video, deleting unwanted clips, playing cool songs in background while Sehwag fires away... that is my ultimate aim.

Ofcourse, buying a DVD recorder will be useful to transfer the videos to my computer but it is not a substitute for graphics card and RAM. I am not playing games on my PC remember. I do not care about real time rendering... yet.

(And I have not bought games at full price for 15 months now. My last game at full price was Fifa'05 that we bought in Toys R Us 'buy 2 get 1 free' annual sale. I bought DOA 3 for $9.99 and MaxPayne for $4.99 recently.. that is equal to your one month subscription of WoW.

Trust me, if you want to render video & audio, you need a good combination of card & RAM. I recommend a 256MB card and 2 gigs of RAM.

I know that on my old machine, with 128MB card & 512 MB RAM, it crawled to a near halt everytime I tried such stuff.
