Delhi Blasts

I was about to send the weekender when I saw this news. I just don't feel like posting the weekender for this week. We will do it next week.

This is what we get after helping people trapped in bunkers. I cannot even begin to ..

True Nikhil,

That is what we get for helping pakis with 25 million of aid and opening up the LOC, which was barricaded with the taxpayer's money.

Interesting what how you jump to conclusions based on whatever little information we get from the news.

I expected better of you, Nikhil.

Do you work for Fox News Axe?

Maybe it is good that you left India. 15+ years of cross border terrorism and you want to sound diplomatic.

I expected this from you.

I highly doubt that terrorism is possible in so many places in India without any internal help. In fact, it is nearly impossible. I have a friend who has a friend in the Indian army...that guy was posted in J&K for some days and he related some incidents he was involved in. Apparently, in many cases, the attacks are known beforehand, but the soldiers are deliberately posted to a different location...in fact, they are *moved* from the suspected location to a new one. And supposedly, these orders are issued from our ministry.

Now, *if* this is true (I cannot claim it as truth as this is just second-hand info), then it is clear that politicians are involved in these attacks in some way or the other. And I believe that is the bigger threat that we have.

The real question here is that assuming the above is true, then what is the right approach to counter terrorism? Attacking Pakistan is probably not going to solve this issue...in fact, it will probably just worsen the problem.

You are putting a new twist here. Nobody said that there was no internal involvement. What I am sure about is there is a Pakistani hand in this too. Just like all the other blast cases in recent memory.

I do not find your third (not second) hand information very credible as there have been numerous deaths of military personnel and sometimes their residential quarters have been attacked and family members killed. I am not denying that some Indian politicians can be involved but surely its not just a few insane politcians. We all know better than that.
